Joe's Diary
Joe, age 8 months, stayed in Crofter Cottage, Ivy Tower Village
Dates: 16-20th September 2006
Saturday - I woke up to Mummy and Daddy leaping around this morning saying we are off on my first holiday! I was slightly confused but figured it must be a good thing!
After breakfast we all got into the car and we were off. Within 10 minutes or so I was off to sleep, when I awoke we were nearly there. Out of the car window all I could see was grassy fields and the odd moo cow and baa baa.
When we arrived, we parked the car and went in to our holiday house, Mummy and Daddy were still leaping around especilly when they saw the hamper they had ordered waiting for them on the table. I loved it because I had a new toy, it was a teddy, but the best thing was, it was wrapped in coulourful paper which was absolutlely amazing, that paper amused me for hours!
After tea we went for a swim in the pool, My Mummy had bought a carrier for me with the hamper which was waterproof, It was great because whilst he was holding me, Dadddy had both hands free for splashing! It was me and Daddy verses Mummy, we won!
I was out like a light that night, absolutlely exhasted!
Sunday - I woke up on Sunday to find Mummy and Daddy already up and ready to go out for the day. I was a bit upset as I love waking them up first thing! After breakfast we went out in the car for 15 minutes or so and then pulled up and what Mum and Dad were calling, Folly Farm. When we went in I couldn’t believe it, it was so amazing! There were moo cows, horsey’s, piggy’s, bunnys and so many more. I even helped Mummy feed a baby goat! After dinner in the resturant it was back in the buggy and we walked around the park, Mummy and Daddy showed me all the other animals including monkeys and some black and white stripy horses, they were weird!
That night we went for a meal in the local pub, The Sun. It was lovely. There was just enough time for a quick bath and I was off to bed again.
Monday - I was awake a bit earlier this morning, managed to get Mummy and Daddy up, result! We had a quiet morning, went for a swim and a walk.
After dinner we went to
Tenby and to the beach. If you haven’t been to a beach before it is a must, it was like an endless sand pit! Me and Mummy went for a paddle while Daddy went to get me an ice cream. The ice cream was lovely but most of it dissapeared before I had a chance to finish it!
After tea, I had an early night. It must have been the sea air.
Tuesday - Next morning we went to Silent World Aquarium, it was great. Daddy carried me around and we saw loads of fishies and other sea creatures. Upstairs we saw some snakes. Mummy held one but Daddy said his arm was sore from carrying me, yeah right!
After lunch and a little nap we went for a walk on the cliffs, Mummy had hired a carrier for me from Coastal Cottages so I had an amazing view, we saw some birds and some boats, it was great.
When we got back to our holiday house we had a swim and then I watched a DVD while Mummy and Daddy made tea. Then it was bath and bed again.
Wednesday - We are going home today. But first we are going for another swim. Mummy is bringing the waterproof carrier back with us so hopefully we will use it lots more at home.
On the way home we went back to
Tenby and had another walk around and some dinner then we were off.
Back home that night when Daddy was taking me for a bath, I saw Mummy looking back on the website, I wonder where we are going next time!!
